PLAN FOR THE 136K CAMPAIGN (2024) ~ PRODUCER
Fully Focused Productions & New Horizon Youth Centre
The New Horizon Youth Centre is fighting for a strategy to end youth homelessness. In 2023/24, they partnered with Fully Focused production to deliver a set of videos in support of their 136K campaign
In their own words:
"In 2022-23 135,800 16–25-year-olds presented at their local authority as homeless or at risk of homelessness. Many young people experiencing homelessness remain hidden, not showing up in the data, so this figure could easily be double and with COVID and the cost-of-living crisis, it’s getting worse.
Covid changed everything, but certain truths remain; far too many young people in the UK find themselves unhoused, unsupported and unsafe. We desperately need a #PlanForThe136k."
It was a pleasure to contribute to this cause as a Co-Director / Co-Producer together with Amara Bjorkhaug and shift perspective on how homelessness is conceived.

The government needs to put an end to youth homelessness and stop finding absurd "solutions" to the problem.

THURSDAY (2022) ~ PRODUCER
A casual booty call gets a lot more serious when a masked killer breaks in.
Sabrina and Pierre are your classic 2022 romance - if you can even call it that. They met on a dating app when Pierre swiped right on Sabrina while taking a shit and Sabrina swiped right on Pierre because he had more than one picture on his profile.
On a particular Thursday - the internationally recognised day of casual dating, because the weekend is for people you actually like - Sabrina goes to Pierre’s house for cheap wine, bland conversation, and the brief endorphin rush of feeling close to someone.
But it turns out, a mysterious killer may have other plans for the two.
Can Sabrina and Pierre survive? What will battling a killer make them realise about their feelings toward each other?
Thursday is a story about casual dating: why we do it and what we go through to get it. It’s about the blurred line between fulfilling our ego and yearning for connection, the awkwardness between two people who have seen each other naked but have nothing in common, and the pros and cons of defining the relationship.

Thursday has been created by writer/actor Nikita Redkar and directed by Anabel Barnston.

Nominated for the Best Side Splitting Award at the Renegade Film Festival (Atlanta, US) 2023.
Screened at the Lakeside Film Festival (Berlin) in August 2023.
Official Selection of Underdog Film Festival Wolfsburg 2024.

NO FRAME IS AN ISLAND (2017) ~ PRODUCER
Young Filmmakers Glasgow

No Frame is an Island is a crowdsourced film produced by filmmakers across Scotland, and a creative response to Brexit.

With this project, we wanted to explore the idea that every frame in a film is defined by the one that comes before it and after it. Over 60 filmmakers created one-shot 30 second films that best captured their response to Brexit. Each response was then united to create this unique body of work, that was accompanied by music from a live string quartet.

In creating each response, filmmakers had to think instinctively about their personal reaction to Brexit. And now it’s time to think carefully about the future of the country.
